FactorGenie is sponsoring the IFA's Virtual Tech Expo Webinar Series — three sessions across three August Thursdays, each focused on practical technology for factoring operations. The first session, Maximizing Automation Without Losing Control, runs Thursday, August 13 from 11am to 12pm Pacific.
How much automation is too much? Three factoring companies share their experiences moving from simple process automation to broader AI-powered operations — where they started, how they expanded, the surprises they hit along the way, and the safeguards they keep in place so that humans stay in control of critical business decisions.
The Panel
- Tom Croteau — Founder & CEO, OperFi. In transportation factoring since 2012, Tom founded OperFi in 2019 and brings front-line experience across operations, underwriting, and risk management.
- Emily Hyde — Operations Manager, Trilogy Solutions. Emily leads the implementation of software and process improvements at Trilogy, after two years as the company's Assistant Controller.
- Jake Shryer — Office Manager, OpenRoad Financial. Jake has led the upgrade of OpenRoad's technology stack across underwriting, sales, and back-office systems, after a start in mechanical engineering and time as a software engineer at SpaceX.
Sam Elitzer, FactorGenie's CEO, moderates. The format is a roundtable conversation — no slides.

The webinar is free for IFA members and Ally members (not open to non-members). Register through the IFA event page.
The series continues August 20 with More App Adoption, Less Work and concludes August 27 with Using Credit Intel to Make Smart Decisions, Faster.
