LOS ANGELES, CA — August 2, 2026 — Freight factors that actively verify loads could confirm nearly one in four of them at no cost through freight broker portals, according to a FactorGenie analysis of loads processed on the FactorGenie platform in June 2026.
Across the loads in the study, 21.5 percent — more than one in five — involved a freight broker whose portal could be used to confirm the load before funding. Among factoring companies actively running verification outreach today, the share was 23.3 percent, or nearly one in four.
In practice, most of that free capacity goes unused: verification is still done mostly by phone and email.
Verifying a load in the freight broker's own portal confirms the load exists and matches what was submitted for funding, directly with the party that will ultimately pay the invoice. It is a strong signal that an invoice is genuine, and it can help flag problems — from simple data mismatches to potential fraud — before money moves.
"Verification is sometimes treated as a choice between slow phone calls and skipping the step. There is a third option sitting in plain sight: for a meaningful share of loads, the freight broker's portal will confirm the load at no cost. The capacity is already there — most of it just isn't being used yet."

About the Analysis
The analysis covered loads that FactorGenie processed between June 9 and June 24, 2026 for factoring companies on the platform; the percentages are shares of those loads. A load was counted as portal-verifiable when the freight broker on the load is known to operate a load-verification portal. The figure measures availability: not every portal lookup returns a complete confirmation on every load.
FactorGenie's invoice audit includes automated portal verification for loads where the freight broker's portal is available and credentials are configured, so factors on the platform can put this free capacity to work without adding staff.
